Blog about Twitter

How does a Twitter discussion compare to a BlackBoard Discussion?  To an in-class discussion?

Twitter appears to be real time more so than BlackBoard.   I think with Twitter there is no one real overseer of the information or tweets posted, as opposed to Blackboard, well the Administrator has the power to oversee the information, and possibly control it from behind the scenes.  I don’t think the same level of hierarchy control exists in Twitter.   There is no comparison in my eyes between a Twitter and an in-class discussion.   Twitter allows the discussion to go on forever if all parties participating would like, but with an in-class discussion, when the Instructor or Professor shuts the door on a discussion, well that is the end of the story.  Moreover, with an in-class discussion, depending on the moderator, well there can be lots of censorship, but concerning Twitter, there is no censorship!

Project net and iGeneration: The Pros and Cons of the net and iGenerations: How Do We Reach Them!

This blog is about the investigation of how to reach the mindset of the netgeneration.    The netgeneration, has everyone oustide of their generation who wants to reach their minds, struggling to rewire themselves.  First step in the process of this project is to read two books as part of the research for the background definition:  (1) grown up digital how the net generation is changing your world, by Don Tapscott, bestselling author of growing up digital and wikinomics  and (2) Rewired Understanding the iGeneration and the Way They Learn, by author Larry D. Rosen, P.h.D.
